KETTERING, Ohio—Police have received reports of a deer that was shot with an arrow wandering the streets of this southwest Ohio suburb.
Kettering Police Dispatcher J. Kelley says the deer was spotted on Tuesday morning roaming around suburban Dayton near the Kettering Medical Center.
Kelley says it’s illegal to shoot a deer in the city. He says deer are out in the roadways more than usual this time of year because it’s mating season.
Several Ohio counties have reported accidents caused by deer crashing into cars in recent weeks.

How about the police using a professional police sniper to put the poor animal out of its misery. If nothing else use a tranquilizer and remove the arrow. The broadhead on the arrow creates tissue damage and pain every time it is bumped or perhaps whenever the animal moves. It is cruel not to try to do something about this.
If you take a correct shot you shouldnt miss.
Apparently the shooter missed the vitals. Either an unfortunate shot or the shooter needs more practice.
