CINCINNATI, Ohio—A worker from Louisiana who fell from scaffolding on a highway overpass in southwest Ohio last week has died.

Officials at a Cincinnati hospital say 45-year-old Edmond Gourdon of Covington, La., died Sunday night.

He fell 14 to 20 feet while painting underneath a bridge over northbound Interstate 75 in Butler County and landed in a construction zone.
