I-270 Reopens After Crash

Interstate 270 on the city’s South Side reopens to traffic after a morning crash closed a portion of it.
COLUMBUS, Ohio—At least one vehicle was involved in a Wednesday morning crash that shutdown a portion of Interstate 270 on the city’s South Side.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
The accident happened on I-270 westbound just east of Interstate 71 shortly before 6:30 a.m.
The freeway was shutdown shortly after the crash, and all lanes of traffic were reopened by 8 a.m.
Scanner traffic indicated a male victim was injured and was unconscious.
The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center.
The Franklin County sheriff’s office and Jackson Township fire were called to the scene.
NBC 4’s Monica Day suggested drivers use Interstate 70, state Route 104, London Groveport Road or Watkins Road as an alternate.
Traffic was backed up well past U.S. Route 23 all of the way to the Alum Creek Drive exit at about 6:45 a.m.
