i apologize, we thought this was the accident my friend was in, but hers occured hours earlier, so yeah, i don’t know what kind of person this was, and you are right about drunk drivers.i just know my friend, and that she is a good person. she trusted her boyfriend to keep her safe, and he nearly killed her.their accident was around 10pm, on cemetary road.

Any more news on this.  My brother was driving the second vehicle and somehow did not get killed.  His vehicle is what stopped this guy.  Any word on who it was or his insurance company?  He never saw this drunk coming because I assume the first car blocked his view.  The first car swirved and all of a sudden there he was.  I don’t think the drunk ever tried to avoid it.  I sure would like an update if anyone has it.

And to a previous poster who said that these were really good people who could have been a little smarter: Really good people don’t get behind the wheel of a car with total disregard for others after they’ve been drinking and/or drugging.  Really good people die when really bad people are selfish like that!

My family and I were almost hit head-on by this person as well.  We were on I-270 eastbound, coming home from the Indians game, almost at the Westerville Rd exit when he came right at us.  He passed us on our driver’s side as if it were a two-lane highway…he was going every bit of 70 m.p.h. if not more.  I called 9-1-1 at 1:15 a.m. and reported it.  My husband called the Columbus police non-emergency number when we got home to find out what had happened, and they told him he hit at least two other cars head-on.  I didn’t sleep at all that night because I was so sick about what nearly happened to my family.  The Dispatch didn’t report anything about this story.  I want an update…what’s the driver’s name, and what happened to the people he hit?  I plan on being at his arraignment.  Channel 4, please update this story!

We are so disappointed to hear he made it all the way from New Albany to Sawmill when we called 911 literally seconds after he passed us.  Apparently all the police were downtown for RWB and no one intercepted him.  Keep us updated on what happens to him.  We were very shaken up and are very angry. I am glad everyone in your car was okay. I found another article here that says two people were taken to the hospital in the crash:

Keep us updated if you hear what this guy gets!

They almost killed us on the 270 to 161 ramp when they came at us heading the wrong way.  We only had a split second to react because they came around a blind curve.  We called 911 IMMEDIATELY.  This driver needs to be thrown in jail and never allowed to drive again. We were a car of 20 year olds being RESPONSIBLE with a DD that could have all lost our lives due to his joy ride. I hope they are very harsh on attempted vehicular homicide criminals.  I also hope no one lost their life that night.
