Mikaela Hunt - Reporter

Email: mhunt@wcmh.com

Mikaela Hunt co-anchors NBC 4 Today and reports daily for NBC 4.

Prior to joining the NBC 4 team, Hunt served as a 5 p.m. anchor and reporter covering Central Illinois at WAND-TV.

She also worked a reporter at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri and WSOY Radio in Decatur, Illinois.

Mikaela graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism. In 2005, the Associated Press awarded her for investigative reporting.

Several of her stories in Illinois served as the blueprint for legislation.

Hunt says the most memorable story she covered was a piece on trick or treating and sex offenders.

Mikaela is active in the Junior League of Columbus and is a member of the Columbus Young Professionals.

She volunteers at OSU as a fraternity development adviser, is a church lector, and is involved in a local book club.

She just finished her first (and most likely last!) Mini Triathlon.

If she weren't working in television, Mikaela said she would be a corporate trainer or personal shopper.

Mikaela's first job was as a counter clerk at a lumberyard and hardware store, working for her father's small business.

Mikaela lives in Galloway with her husband of nearly four years, Marcus, and their Miniature Dachshunds, Bentley and Barkley.
