Parking & Directions


Red, White & BOOM! is located at the downtown Columbus Riverfront area and includes all downtown parks.

The event is bound by north of Nationwide Blvd., south of Mound St., west of Belle St., and east of Front St.

Parking:

In order to make getting to Red, White & Boom! 2009 easy and convenient, there will be over a dozen parking areas open at various locations throughout the downtown Columbus area. Red, White & Boom! still recommends Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) services as one of the best ways to get to and from the festivities.
Bus schedules and additional parking information will be available closer to July 3rd.

Directions:

From Cleveland
Take I-71 SOUTH towards COLUMBUS. Continue on I-70 WEST/I-71 SOUTH. Continue on I-70 WEST. Take the RICH ST/TOWN ST exit, exit #99C. Merge on OH-315 NORTH. Take the OH-3/RICH ST/TOWN ST (US-33 E) exit. Turn Right on W RICH ST. Bear Right on W MAIN ST. Turn Left on CIVIC CENTER DR S. until it intersects with Mound St. and Bicentennial Park.

From Dayton
Take I-75 NORTH. Take the I-70 EAST exit towards COLUMBUS, exit #61A. Merge on I-70 EAST. Take the DUBLIN RD/RICH ST/TOWN ST exit, exit #99B. Merge on OH-315 NORTH. Take the OH-3/RICH ST/TOWN ST (US-33 E) exit. Turn Right on W RICH ST. Bear Right on W MAIN ST. Turn Left on CIVIC CENTER DR S. until it intersects with Mound St. and Bicentennial Park.

From Zanesville
Take I-70 WEST. Take the Exit 100A exit. Turn Right on S 4TH ST. Turn left on E MOUND ST. Continue on W MOUND ST. until it intersects with Civic Center Drive and Bicentennial Park.

From Cincinnati
Take the I-71 NORTH exit towards COLUMBUS. Merge on I-71 NORTH. Continue on OH-315 NORTH towards INDIANAPOLIS. Take the OH-3/RICH ST/TOWN ST (US-33 E) exit. Turn Right on W RICH ST. Bear Right on W MAIN ST. Turn Left on CIVIC CENTER DR S. until it intersects with Mound St. and Bicentennial Park.

Special Note: All bridges will be closed to any traffic during the fireworks display. The Broad Street Bridge will be closed to all vehicles at 6 p.m. and pedestrians at 8:30 p.m. The Town Street Bridge will close at 9 a.m. The bridges will not reopen until fire department officials deem it is safe to reopen the bridges (approximately 11:30 p.m. - 12 a.m.).
