Another Buckeye NBA Bound?
Thad Matta may have to replace yet another Buckeye bound for the NBA Draft: Mark “The Shark” Titus.
Titus is a junior walk-on guard from Brownsburg, Indiana who in his 3-year OSU career has scored 8 points. But what Titus lacks in playing time, he more than makes up for with bravado.
Titus writes a wildly popular blog called “Club Trillion” and this week Titus writes that he is declaring himself eligible for this summer’s NBA Draft. He’ll “join” B.J. Mullins as OSU underclassmen hoping to hear their names called by Commissioner David Stern. On his blog, Titus has posted his letter to the commissioner declaring his eligibility for the draft and some minor demands, like wearing the first 3-digit number in league history.
According to OSU officials, Titus did in fact fax the proper paperwork to the NBA office in New York this past Friday. Titus has not hired an agent, reserving his right to return for his senior year at OSU if he does not like his “draft prospects”.
