MINNEAPOLIS—Two-time AP Minnesota High School Player of the Year Tayler Hill announced on Thursday that she will play basketball at Ohio State.
The Minneapolis South star was one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the country. She narrowed her choices to Minnesota, Duke, Marquette, Texas and Ohio State. But she spurned her hometown school for the Buckeyes.
Hill’s brother, P.J., completed his junior season for Ohio State’s men’s team last season.
Hill is the state’s all-time leading scorer. She capped one of the best prep careers in state history in style with 47 points in the Class 4A state championship game.
The shooting guard says “this was a very tough decision and it wasn’t something that wasn’t easy for my family and I to come to. But it was the best decision for me.“
