PARK RIDGE, Ill.—Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota are all sharing Big Ten football honors.
The conference has named Iowa safety Tyler Sash and Minnesota’s Nate Triplett its defensive players of the week.
Sash picked off a school record three passes in a 35-3 win at Iowa State. Triplett recorded a career-high 17 tackles and returned a fumble 52 yards for a touchdown in the Gophers’ 20-13 win over Air Force.
On offense, Michigan’s Tate Forcier got the Big Ten’s recognition for racking up 310 yards of total offense. He lobbed a touchdown pass with 11 seconds left for the victory over Notre Dame.
On special teams, the Big Ten’s player of the week is Michigan’s Darryl Stonum, who produced two key special teams plays - a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and a punt downed on the four-yard line.
