TEMPE, Ariz.—A team that’s hungry is capable of great things.

That’s the message several Buckeye seniors gave Wednesday morning during interviews before Monday’s Fiesta Bowl.

Both Ohio State and Texas took to the practice field in full pads today.

Buckeye captain James Laurinaitis said while practices have looked intense, it’s actually been a much more relaxed atmosphere in camp.

“I think having a large group of seniors helps with that ... We know what we need to do and get it done, but we enjoy it, too,“ Laurinaitis said.

Texas QB Colt McCoy spoke at length Wednesday about the strength of Ohio State’s defense.

“We saw how good they were two years ago, and they’re the best defense we’ve seen for sure.“ McCoy said.

Both teams were invited to attend today’s Insight Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium between Kansas and Minnesota.

The Bucks chose not to go; Texas will watch the game.

The team has a 1 a.m. curfew for its New Year’s plans.
