Top-ranked Columbus Northland and Division I player of the year Jared Sullinger will be on display when the state boys basketball tournament tips off for the 87th time this week at Ohio State’s Value City Arena.

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Top-ranked Columbus Northland and Division I player of the year Jared Sullinger will be on display when the state boys basketball tournament tips off for the 87th time this week at Ohio State’s Value City Arena.
Northland (25-1) battles Warren Harding (23-2) on Friday night before No. 2 Cincinnati Princeton takes on Toledo St. John’s.
The tournament opens on Thursday morning with Kalida, led by coach Richard Kortokrax who has 784 wins in his 49 seasons, taking on Cleveland Heights Lutheran East. The second Division IV semifinal pits Ada and Oak Hill.
In Division III, Cleveland Central Catholic meets Piketon and Dayton Christian tackles Defiance Tinora.
The Division II contestants are Circleville Logan Elm vs. Dayton Thurgood Marshall and Columbus Desales vs. Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary.
The four title games are set for Saturday.
