CLEVELAND—Buffalo Bills defensive back Donte Whitner is scheduled to appear in an Ohio court a day after saying video shows he did nothing wrong in an altercation with police.

Whitner is set to appear Tuesday in Cleveland Municipal Court on charges of aggravated disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Cleveland police say they used a stun gun and handcuffed Whitner when he tried to force his way past officers trying to control a crowd outside a nightclub on April 11.

Whitner says his attorney has received a videotape showing what happened. He says he’s confident the charges will be dropped but offers no other details.

Cleveland spokeswoman Andrea Taylor says it’s city policy not to comment on pending cases.
