A young Chinese woman in Shanghai wants to have plastic surgery to look like actress Jessica Alba—to win her boyfriend back.
The 21-year-old who only gave her first name as Xiaoqing said she was devastated when her boyfriend broke up with her.
Her former boyfriend’s a big fan of Alba.
During her relationship, the woman said she did her makeup in the same style as Alba, fixed her hair like Alba and even wore a wig her ex bought for her.
She posted an ad asking people to help her fulfill her wish to look like Alba, which sparked a heated debate over whether she should do it.
But Xiaoqing said she’s going through with the surgery and the plastic surgery hospital has agreed to do it for free to showcase its abilities—even though the director of the hospital admitted that the woman is in a ‘weakened state’ after the breakup.
The director said it is not unusual to have clients who want cosmetic surgery to look like celebrities.
