There are plenty of things going on throughout the city this week.

Here are CityScene Magazine's top five picks:

1. From Field to Table (6-10:30 p.m. Fri. Sept. 10)
Inspired by garden harvests, this fresh dining experience is unique. Everything that guests will eat is locally grown and comes directly to the table from the fields. Hosted by the Franklin Park Conservatory’s Women’s Board, guests will enjoy al fresco dishes and appetizers prepared with Columbus in mind. A locavore’s dream! www.fpconservatory.org.

2. Lithopolis Honey Festival (10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat. Sept. 11)
Held on the grounds of the Wagnalls Memorial (150 E. Columbus St., Lithopolis), the fourth annual Honey Festival promises to sweeten up your weekend with cooking contests, vendors, merchandise, demonstrations, mead (honey wine) tastings – and, of course – bee beards! Live music by Luxury Brown, Dwight Lenox and the Lenox Avenue Express and Swing’s the Thing Big Band will entertain everyone throughout the day, along with activities for the whole family. www.lithopolishoneyfest.com.

3. Hot Times Community Music & Arts Festival (Sat. Sept. 11-13)
On the grounds of the Columbus Department of Health (240 Parsons Ave.), this free community event includes great music, dance performances, poetry readings, the largest art car gathering in central Ohio and much more. This year, national musical act CJ Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band will headline. www.hottimesfestival.com

4. New Albany Walking Classic (9 a.m. Sun. Sept. 12)
It’s time to lace up those walking shoes to celebrate health and wellness in New Albany. Now in its sixth year, this annual 10k is the largest walking-only race in the U.S. and was named best in its class by Walk magazine. The race kicks off on Market St., downtown New Albany so if you’re not walking, be sure to come out and cheer on the competitors. Early registration is encouraged. www.newalbanywalkingclassic.com.

5. Slice of Columbus (5-10 p.m. Wed. Sept. 15)
The 21st installment Columbus’ largest annual pizza-centric event takes over the LC Pavilion on Wednesday, to the delight of anyone who’s ever sauced a pie. $12 will get you unlimited taste sample bites from 20 of the best pizzerias in one room, including Adriatico’s, Late Night Slice, Mellow Mushroom and many more. A celebrity taste test will crown a winner, and attendees will vote on a “people’s choice,” with live music, kid-friendly activities and more benefitting Children’s Hospital. www.nationwidechildrens.org/sliceofcolumbus.
