»  Comments | Post a Comment

New research suggests that exercise can cut your risk of breast cancer.

A study sponsored by the World Cancer Research Fund and the American Institute for Cancer Research found that exercising more, eating healthier and keeping weight in check could prevent as many as 38 percent of breast cancer cases in the country.

Another study from medicine and science in sports and medicine showed that women who were moderately fit and did moderate-intensity exercise had a one-third lower risk of developing breast cancer.

Personal trainers said the concept makes sense.

Personal Trainer Matt Hickey, of Core Fitness Studio, recommends aiming for 30 minutes of exercise three to five days a week to start.
