Men who have a healthy sex life may also have healthy hearts.
Researchers at the New England Research Institute followed a thousand men over a 16-year period to look at the link between sex and heart health.
Those who engaged in the activity at least twice a week were 45 percent less likely to develop serious heart disease compared to men who had sex once a month or less.
Researchers say this could be because the act is physical, but also nurturing for a couple, which reduces stress.
Researchers also say this may be just an association because healthier men have a stronger desire to have sex more frequently.
The study was led by researchers at the New England Research Institute and published in the American Journal of Cardiology.
