FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio -- A pedestrian was struck early Friday and remained in critical condition.

A pedestrian traffic crash left a 52-year-old resident seriously injured, according to the county sheriff's office.
Fayette County deputies were dispatched to state Route 38 NE, south of village of Bloomingburg, at approximately 2:14 a.m. on reports a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle.
Sheriff Vernon Stanforth reported a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling northbound on SR 38. Robert J. Fultz, 54, of Bloomingburg was operating the Pontiac. Douglas A. Robinson, 52, also of Bloomingburg was walking southbound in the northbound lane of SR 38. Robinson was struck by the Pontiac in the northbound lane.
Robinson received serious visible injuries. He was treated by county EMS and airlifted from the scene by medical helicopter to Ohio State University Medical Center.
Robinson was listed in critical condition Friday morning.
Fultz reported no injuries in the crash.
The sheriff's traffic crash reconstruction unit was called to the scene and continued to work on the investigation.
