NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Tuesday.

City Council Finance Chair Kevin Boyce will host a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. to hear the community's input on the proposed 2009 budget.

The meeting will be in council chambers.

If you want to speak, you'll need to fill out a speaker slip before the meeting. Those will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. You will be able to fill out the slip at the security station inside City Hall's Front Street entrance.

Speakers will be heard in the order the slips are received.

Free parking will be available after 5 p.m. in the City Hall surface lot at Gay and Front Streets.

Identification will be required to enter the building.

Friends of Hilltop President Gary Baker and South Ogden Avenue Block Watch member Lisa Boggs said they're trying to revitalize the Hilltop and any recreation center closings would be a blow to that effort. Boggs said she didn't hear any comments of support for the Glenwood or Holton centers at the hearing in November, NBC 4's Tanya Hutchins reported.

Hutchins said the community will be able to ask about any part of the 2009 budget (snow removal, rec centers, garbage pick-up, etc.)

Residents will have an additional opportunity to provide public testimony on the 2009 budget at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16.
