Columbus police arrested two Cleveland-area men in connection with Darryl Wood's murder Wednesday night.
Wood, 43, was fatally shot Tuesday when police said he interrupted a burglary at his Argyle Avenue home.
During a subsequent investigation, CPD detectives identified Dred Coleman, 23, and Ramon Blevins, 25, as suspects in Wood's death.
Coleman and Blevins were arrested at 5910 Scarborough Blvd. without incident by members of CPD's SWAT team. Both were charged with aggravated murder.
Blevins and Coleman appeared in court Thursday morning for their arraignments. NBC 4's Tacoma Newsome reported from the courtroom.
Police said Blevins and Coleman shot and killed Wood.
Prosecutors have an additional theory: A day before Wood was killed, he was in court answering to drug-trafficking charges. He decided to cooperate with the state, and the next day he was dead. Prosecutors think Wood was murdered because co-defendants in a pending drug-trafficking case involving Wood found out about his decision.
Wood's family and friends were in the courtroom and became emotional when the judge set bond for Blevins and Coleman at $2 million each.
According to prosecutors, Blevins and Coleman have prior arrests and pending cases for robbery and drug trafficking in Cuyahoga County.
