CINCINNATI -- Police in Cincinnati are handing out arrest warrants to more than four dozen people who have been identified as members of a check-cashing scheme that netted more than $120,000.
Police say they made 20 arrests yesterday and are looking for another 33 people indicted on felony counts of theft or complicity to theft.
Police say ring members opened checking accounts with a small amount of money and then deposited bad checks from each other and issued new checks knowing there were insufficient funds in the accounts.
