COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The remaining pieces of the sky bridge in Downtown Columbus were scheduled for demolition Saturday.
Demolition began in October and crews will finish the job this weekend, NBC 4's Paul Stelzer reported.
A portion of High Street is closed as crews complete the demolition work on the sky bridge that connects the old Lazarus building to City Center.
Demolition began at 7 a.m.
High Street was closed between State and Rich streets beginning Friday night and the closure will remain in place until mid-Sunday morning.
Crews will take down the remaining steel beams and trusses Saturday and remove them from the street Sunday morning.
