CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- A fire at an apartment in Circleville has put one man in the hospital with second degree burns on his face and put residents of six units on the street.
The fire started early this morning at the Apple Ridge apartments on US 22 in Circleville, city firefighters told NBC 4’s Mike Bowersock.
Investigators say it does not appear suspicious, but it did rekindle in the early evening, some eight hours after it was first reported.
The 50-year-old resident was injured after running through the fire to get out. He also breathed in the burning gases when he ran out of the apartment.
This is the third apartment complex fire in central Ohio in a week.
The cause remains under investigation.
