DAYTON, Ohio -- A comedian wants to offer a few laughs to southwest Ohio workers facing layoffs.

Comedian Drew Hastings is bringing his comedy routine from Hollywood to Wiley's Comedy Club in Dayton Dec. 26-27 and offering it free to General Motors and DHL workers.

Hastings has ties to the southwest Ohio area where thousands face impending layoffs at DHL shipping company's hub in Wilmington and a GM plant in Moraine. The comic graduated from Fairmount West High School in the Dayton suburb of Kettering.

He has appeared on "The Tonight Show" and has had specials on the Comedy Central channel. Hastings calls his upcoming performances "The Pink Slip Show" and says everyone can use a little laughter even in their darkest hours.
