City Workers Ready To Claim $207M Jackpot

»  Comments | Post a Comment

PIQUA, Ohio -- We'll meet Ohio's new Mega Millions millionaires later today.

Ohio Lottery spokeswoman Jeannie Roberts says 15 municipal employees in Piqua will officially claim a $207 million jackpot at a news conference in the western Ohio city this afternoon.

The workers put their money together and bought the winning ticket in Friday's drawing from a Kroger supermarket.

The winners' attorney John Hemm says the prize will be split 16 ways because one person who participated in the pool had two shares.

The big score marks Ohio's third jackpot of the year in the multistate Mega Millions game.
It's the state's third-largest jackpot win since joining the game in 2002.
