COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Masked, armed men busted into a local restaurant right before closing time, according to authorities.
NBC 4's Matt Alvarez got right to the point with a report on what police said employees were forced to do.
Columbus police said two armed men entered the Buffalo Rings & Wings at 6325 E. Broad St. and forced three employees into a small back room.
That was about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday night.
The suspects took the money from the cash tills the manager was counting and fled the restaurant, police said.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Police released the following description of the two suspects and asked for your help to identify them. Both suspects were described as black males who were wearing black hooded sweatshirts, masks and gloves. One suspect was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed near 210 pounds. The second suspect was also about the same height and weighed near 160 pounds.
Detectives remained unsure whether this particular incident was connected to any other recent robberies.
There have been a string of robberies in the nearby Whitehall area, including purse snatchings from senior victims and an 83-year-old woman was robbed during a home invasion.
Anyone with information was encouraged to call CPD's robbery squad at 614-645-4665 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-645-TIPS.
