COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A house was destroyed by fire overnight, and one man escaped injury.

Columbus Fire crews arrived to the scene just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Six different crews responded to the Northeast Side fire. When they arrived in the 1400 block of Boswall Drive, the house was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters fought the flames from the outside; going inside wasn't safe.
A man was home at the time of the blaze, and he escaped without injury.
The house sustained considerable damage.
According to fire officials, the fire apparently was started by an unattended candle. However, the fire will be investigated further by officials.
