COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A family is looking for justice after a homicide nearly two years ago.
You could have the tip that solves this murder case, and Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for your help.
Chester Harris, 28, exited a residence in the 600 block of Carpenter Street on the city's East Side after an argument with a female.
Harris began walking southbound in the alley near 677 Gilbert Ave. with an unknown person(s). Due to events unknown to investigators, Harris was shot and killed there in the alley at about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 2, 2006.
Crime Stoppers posted a reward of up to $2,000 for any information received by Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime.
Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 614-645-TIPS. You also can text a tip to "CRIMES" or 274637 with a keyword of TIP125.
Crime Stoppers does not use caller ID or record telephone conversations. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller.
