ATHENS, Ohio -- Ohio University’s Medical School is facing a federal lawsuit, filed by a former student who says he shouldn’t have to pay money to the school for practicing out-of-state. Out-of-state students are required to practice medicine in Ohio for five years after graduation, or else pay a fine. The doctor, who moved to Arizona four years after graduating, says the requirement is not a contract and the penalty is not enforceable.
