COLUMBUS, Ohio -- This could be a New Year’s Resolution for you…eating healthy in 2009. When you go grocery shopping, there are some things to make sure you have in your cart leaving you healthy on the inside and out.

If you want your hair to be strong and vibrant, try eating cottage cheese. Sunflower seeds can help you with allergies if you have them. Researchers say that Vitamin E helps to calm the parts of your immune system involved in allergies. Experts also say if you eat an egg per day, your eyes will become stronger. Eggs are full of antioxidants that help fight cataracts as well as macular degeneration. Even if you are watching your cholesterol, the University of Massachusetts researchers found that one egg per day won’t hurt your levels. And finally, your heart will love grape juice. It is high in phenolics which are a group of powerful antioxidants that swallow up heart damaging free radicals. The best news of all…chocolate will help boost bone health.
