2007 Family Insurance Premium with Aultra was $845.10
2007 Single Insurance Premium with Aultra was $313.00
2008 Family Insurance Premium with United Healthcare is $1099.90 which is a 30% increase
2008 Single Insurance Premium with United Healthcare is $407.37 which is a 30% increase
$845.10 + $254.80 (30% Increase) = $1099.90 which is this years Family Premium. Board Share = $1033.90 Employee Share = $66.00
$313.00 + $94.37 (30% Increase) = $407.37 which is this years Single Premium. Board Share = $382.93 Employee Share = $24.44
The BOE is paying $188.81 more per month for Family coverage and $69.93 more per month for Single coverage after the staff members pays 6% of the costs
The BOE is asking HEA members to help offset the costs of insurance by contributing 6% the first year, 8% the second year and 10% the third year of the contract
The BOE will continue to incur 94% of the cost for medical insurance in 2008, 92% of the cost in 2009 and 90% of the cost in 2010
The BOE continues to pay for 100% of the cost for Dental insurance (for full-time staff members)
The BOE did not change the cost sharing measures for part-time staff members
