LICKING COUNTY, Ohio -- A former Buckeye Lake city councilman has been arrested after two months on the run, NBC 4 reported.
John Cortez is facing 23 charges of unlawful sexual conduct with three minors, and an additional charge that he provided one of the minors with cocaine.
The Licking County Sheriff's Randy Thorp said Cortez was captured on Wednesday night just before 11 p.m. at Dog House Bar in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Officials said a tip was received in January, leading detectives to Myrtle Beach. Investigators distributed fliers at hotels and restaurants and an employee at the bar recognized Cortez, officials said.
Two weeks ago, local residents held a vigil to promote the fact that Cortez has not been captured. He was originally indicted on weapons charges after deputies found firearms in his home during a November raid.
He is currently being held in a Myrtle Beach City Jail, but it is not known when he will return to Central Ohio.
