[dateline] -- Columbus Police are investigating the circumstances around an overnight shooting this morning, NBC 4 reported.
A woman called 911 and said that her boyfriend had shot himself in the leg, according to reports.
Medics discovered the man had been shot in the chest upon arrival.
The man was taken to Grant Medical Center.
The girlfriend was detained as police tried to find out what happened.
