WAYNE COUNTY, Ohio -- A Berea man has admitted to making up a carjacking story, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
A rest-area worker in Wayne County found a note that said a man had been carjacked Sunday.
Joseph See, of Berea, wrote the note and left it at the rest stop. See called 911 later that night and said the carjacker had released him, NBC 4 reported.
There were too many inconsistencies in See’s story, Ohio State Patrol said, and he may face charges of making false statements.
