COLUMBUS, Ohio -- It’s only hours until a reward for information in a woman's disappearance goes away, NBC 4 reported.
Randy Shaffer, the father of missing Ohio State medical student Brian Shaffer, is offering $8,000 for information on the whereabouts of Holly Metzger of Lexington until 6 p.m. Monday night.
When combined with the Central Ohio Crime Stoppers’ $2,000 reward, $10,000 is available.
Metzger, 34, has been missing since December 17 and was last seen south of Mansfield at a Wal-Mart supercenter.
The next day, Metzger’s car was found abandoned close to Loudonville.
Brian Shaffer’s disappearance remains unsolved, and Randy decided to take a third of the money set aside for his son’s case and apply it to Metzger’s case, NBC 4 reported.
Metzger’s family and friends are pleading for information this morning.
Anyone with information is asked to call 877-645-TIPS.
