COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A portion of state Route 315 was closed Tuesday morning after a tree fell across the roadway, pulling down power lines.
S.R. 315 northbound was closed north of Interstate 270 at Mt. Airyshire Boulevard after the tree fell, NBC 4’s Mike Bowersock reported.
The road was reopened for a brief time, however it has been closed again to allow American Electric Power crews to fix the power line.
Officials said that they expect the northbound lanes of the roadway to remain closed for the rest of the day.
Several residents in the area are without power.
