CENTRAL OHIO -- February could make a big entrance that will leave no doubt that it's a winter month.
The National Weather Service says a storm will hit the state beginning this evening and will bring heavy snow to northwest Ohio in particular. Six to nine inches of snow could fall on Toledo, Bowling Green and other communities in that region by tomorrow night.
To the south, two to four inches are forecast for Dayton, which also is being warned of the potential for icing conditions as snow turns to freezing rain tomorrow morning.
The forecasters say northeast Ohio could see four or more inches of snow topped off by a quarter-inch of ice.
