COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A deer crashed through a daycare window Wednesday morning, NBC 4 reported.
The incident happened at the East Side La Petite Academy, 5050 Bannockburn Blvd., around 9 a.m., according to Academy Director of Communications Amy Pope.
Pope said there were eight children, ages 15 months to 2 years, in the toddler room.
Teachers immediately removed the children from the room and notified police and parents.
Children and teachers were not injured. The deer did not survive, however.
The academy has fixed the window and cleaned the room so children can reenter as soon as possible.
The academy did send a letter home to parents.
ACADEMY LETTER: Read the letter.
