COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Central Ohioans should expect mostly sunny skies and a warmer day.
Storm Team 4 Meteorologist Marshall McPeek is calling for mostly sunny skies and a warmer high of 43 degrees today.
High pressure is skirting by to the southeast, so we're on the warm side of the things. That gives us a short break from the really cold air. But the wintry weather comes back on Monday with a huge low-pressure center that tracks directly over Central Ohio. The early-morning temperatures will be cold enough for us to get some wintry mix and freezing rain... then it'll all change to rain during the day... then back to mix and snow showers as the temps fall in the evening. The wrap-around moisture will give us some snow showers on Tuesday, too. Traveling on Wednesday looks pretty good. As high pressure returns, we'll get some sunshine... but can't rule out a few flurries to go with it. Shouldn't be a problem for the roads.
Partly cloudy skies and a low of 30 degrees are in the outlook tonight.
