[dateline]--According to the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, Ohio’s unemployment rate rose slightly in October to 7.3 percent. For those Ohioans looking for a job, the government is opening up a new office in Central Ohio with the Census Bureau. The 2010 Census is just 491 days away and the first phase of the 2010 census begins in spring of 2009. In order to be considered though, you are encouraged to apply now for one of 1,000 temporary jobs.


The requirements for the positions are that you must be 18 years old, be a U.S. Citizen, and be able to work 6-8 hours a day up to 40 hours per week. Positions pay anywhere from $8.25-$19.00 per hour. To apply simply call 1-866-861-2010.
