COLUMBUS, Ohio -- South-Western City Schools held an informational meeting Tuesday to promote Issue 15, a levy that could determine the future of the district's sports, busses and teaching positions.
NBC 4 reported Tuesday with the FAST FACTS.
The South-Western City School District will have an 8.3 mill levy on the May ballot, which would cost the owner of a $100,000 home approximately $22 dollars per month.
"Every time something gets cut, I always worry about my stuff," student Michelle Covington told NBC 4. "I know I'm not the only person who goes through things, but everybody needs extracurriculars. It's what keeps kids out of trouble."
If the levy does not pass, the district will cut all athletics, clubs and extracurricular activities.
Without the levy, the district would also be forced to eliminate high-school bussing and would have to close Harrisburg Elementary and the Kingston School.
