CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland teenager has pleaded guilty in a New Year's Eve attack on a lawyer who was out for an evening workout in suburban Shaker Heights.
Joshua Bray whispered guilty pleas to charges of felonious assault and aggravated robbery on Monday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
Prosecutors dropped a dozen other charges in exchange for the plea. His trial was set to begin Monday.
The 16-year-old is the last of six teenagers to plead guilty or be convicted in the case.
Police say lawyer Kevin McDermott was jogging and walking near his home on Dec. 31, 2007, when the teens demanded his wallet and then beat him.
Bray is scheduled to be sentenced April 20. He faces six to 15 years in prison.
