COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An officer pulled a driver to safety after he crashed his pickup truck into a pond on the city's West Side overnight.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS Friday.
A man lost control of his truck and drove into a pond at an apartment complex at Georgesville and Hall roads right after 2 a.m., according to officials.
The first Columbus police officer on the scene jumped into the pond and pulled the driver out of the water, CPD said.
The driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
