COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A woman was shot in the face, and Columbus police is searching for three male suspects.

The incident began after an alleged burglary at Cove Apartments on Shannon Road at about 12:30 p.m. Friday, NBC 4's Mike Bowersock reported.
Cove Apartments employee Alicia Hoskins, 28, was advised of a suspicious vehicle in the area.
Hoskins located the vehicle, which was described as a mid-80s maroon or red Ford Explorer, and followed the vehicle and its three black male occupants from the complex, according to CPD.
CPD said one of the males in the vehicle fired several rounds at her vehicle. One bullet traveled through her car window and struck her in the face.
The victim was driven to Columbus Fire Station #32 by a citizen after being shot.
She was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition where she remained in the Intensive Care Unit.
