COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An overturned dump truck closed two lanes of I-71 northbound, including access to Interstate 70 westbound Wednesday.

Access from I-71 northbound to I-70 westbound was shutdown near Downtown at about 2:45 p.m.
The freeway reopened to traffic right before rush hour.
The two left lanes of I-71 northbound were closed, according to CPD. That included access to I-70 westbound and one access lane to state Route 315 northbound.
Traffic on I-71 northbound was backed up for miles.
Travel into Downtown from the city's South Side was delayed heavily.
Authorities were on the scene directing traffic.
The dump truck driver was transported to Mount Carmel West Medical Center in stable condition.
