MASON, Ohio- Ohio's Kings Island amusement park has collected $102,000 in an online charity auction for the first rides on its newest roller coaster.

Kings Island says 256 people won the right to ride Saturday on the first eight trains of the $22 million steel Diamondback.

The highest bid of $5,000 for one seat came from Blackhawk Network, a Pleasanton, Calif.-based software company. The second highest single-seat bid was $3,100 from 37-year-old Allan Hague, of Yantis, Texas. He also bid $4,700 for three seats.

The three-minute ride on the Diamondback at the park north of Cincinnati includes a 215-foot plunge and reaches 230 feet at its highest point with a speed of up to 80 mph.
