DELAWARE, Ohio -- Delaware County is seeing an increase in crime.
According to the sheriff's office, officials are seeing more drug abuse and drug seizures in 2009 compared to 2008.
Undercover agents bought 400 percent more narcotics compared to last year, NBC 4's Lauren Diedrich reported.
In late April 2008, there were 64 pharmaceuticals seizures, while so far in 2009, there have been 527 seizures.
L.E.A.P. -- Law Enforcement Against Pushers -- conducted a criminal roundup in the county Monday, which resulted in 24 arrests, NBC 4's Lauren Diedrich reported.
Undercover drug task force agents showed up at the home of 52-year-old Vicki Covrett on Monday morning.
"I don't even know what they're arresting me for!" she said.
Covrett is charged with cocaine possession, according to the Delaware County Sheriff's office.
"We are seeing a tremendous increase in complaints in drug distribution and sales," said Sheriff Walter Davis III.
So far in 2009, the sheriff's office said law enforcement has seized 88 percent more cocaine compared to 2008.
But, Davis said, they've also been getting more complaints -- 17 percent more -- which he said is a good sign.
