REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio -- A gas leak caused business evacuations and a major road closing Monday.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Authorities were called to East Main Street or U.S. Route 40 and Rosehill Road shortly before 9:30 a.m. on reports of a gas leak.
A portion of East Main Street both westbound and eastbound lanes was closed between Rosehill and Crest roads.
East Main Street was reopened shortly before 5 p.m., but no left turns were permitted onto Rosehill Road.
Businesses on East Main Street between Brice and Haft roads were being evacuated, according to Reynoldsburg police.
A nearby trailer park, Caroline's Trailer Park, also was evacuated.
Drivers could find several area closings in response to the leak.
The gas company was on the scene trying to repair the leak.
The closing's duration could not be estimated currently.
No more immediate information was available.
