Hunks Hauling Junk Help the Needy

»  Comments | Post a Comment

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The City of Columbus cut down on hauling away waste and now, people don't know what to do with their junk. A local company decided they could help -- and benefit a good cause.

College Hunks Hauling Junk is a company that normally hauls your cast offs away for a fee.

But Saturday, they are taking that "junk" and selling it to the public.

All you have to do is bring in some canned goods and you can "buy" things like medical beds, lawnmowers, power saws and more -- used items that some people cannot afford.

One can of food will get you $2 credit, and every can will go to the Mid Ohio Food Bank.

The food bank has experienced a 20 to 25 percent increase in demand in the last several months.

You can also drop off your own junk for free at 3999 Parkway Lane in Hilliard. It's off Cemetery Road, behind Max and Erma's. You can also purchase the junk Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
