GAHANNA, Ohio -- A city prosecutor said a Gahanna woman accused of stealing cans of gas duster or canned air was huffing while she was shoplifting the items.
Jennifer Goble was charged with stealing cans of gas duster or canned air, and prosecutors said she was using the cans for inhalant abuse or huffing.
Goble was huffing when she was caught stealing the cans from an area Meijer store and CVS pharmacy store in March 2009, according to Assistant City Prosecutor Bill Hedrick.
Drug counselors said they don't see this addiction often but it is extremely dangerous.
On every aerosol can, there is a printed warning about inhaling the chemicals.
Maryhaven's Paul Coleman said it's not an addiction his counselors see often, but that when they do, it can have disastrous results.
Goble was not at home when NBC 4 arrived to ask for her side of the story.
If convicted, she could face up to 180 days in jail.
