CINCINNATI -- A prosecutor in Cincinnati says he is seeking another murder charge against a registered sex offender already scheduled for trial in the strangulation death of a teenage girl.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters says he will take new evidence to a grand jury involving the death of a woman whose charred bones were found about 10 months ago. The woman's name has not been released.
Forty-year-old Anthony Kirkland has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder in the death of 13-year-old Esme Kenney, whose partly burned body was found in woods near her home on March 8.
Kirkland is in jail under $5.3 million bond and faces trial in November. He also is charged in the 2006 deaths of a woman and a teenager.
